  • The Need

    Logan McKenzie

Logan McKenzie relies on a ventilator and trach in order to breathe. He was born with the right side of his diaphragm paralyzed and was immediately intubated upon birth. Logan then had surgery to plicate his diaphragm at one month of age in hopes to help him breathe on his own. After surgery the doctors extubated him and attempted to put him on bi-pap. After bi-pap failed, Logan then had tracheotomy surgery. He currently relies on a ventilator to assist with breathing. He also gets all of his nutrition via G Tube.

Logan also has a very rare genetic condition called Tubulinopathy. His variant is TubA1A. Roughly around 200 cases are known to exist in the world. This has caused Logan to have some brain anomalies with leave his future development unknown.

Logan's family is looking to raise money to help with medical expenses, medical supply costs and medical bills that are not covered by insurance. They are down to one income since Logan has come home from the hospital back in July. Shane, Logan's father, left his job in order to provide Logan with the care and support he needs along side his nursing team.

Please consider a purchase or donation to Logan's online fundraiser.
