  • The Need

    The Family of John Bouquin

On April 2, 2024, John's family's world crumbled. His wife came home from work to find her husband, John, unresponsive. It felt as though the ground was ripped from beneath her as she tried to save him, performing CPR until EMTs arrived and worked tirelessly for 20 minutes. Despite all efforts, John passed away from a heart attack, commonly referred to as the "widow maker." In that moment, her heart shattered, and life as she knew it was forever changed.

John was a man of deep character, always willing to help those in need. He was a proud Marine who served two tours in Iraq and a member of the Free Masons, the Rod and Gun Club, and the VFW. Whether through his military service or daily acts of kindness, John embodied generosity, strength, and a selfless spirit.

As a father, he was a hero to their three children—ages 9, 7, and 2. His sudden loss has left a void in the family that words cannot describe. His boys have lost their role model, their guide, and their protector. His daughter will never feel her daddy rocking her to sleep again. The memories they've made are now all they have, and their future feels impossibly heavy without him.

As his family navigates this unimaginable loss, his wife is now faced with raising their children alone. Balancing grief, parenting, and the financial weight of single-income living has been overwhelming. On top of this, John’s long list of unfinished projects has now become hers.

Please consider a shirt purchase or a donation to the family's online fundraiser to help support them.
