The average lifespan of an ALS patient is 2 to 5 years from diagnosis.
Despite the challenges she faces daily, Kristin remains an inspiration to all who know her, displaying strength, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. Kristin, who after four years continues to fight and battle this debilitating disease is experiencing financial hardships associated with the effects of ALS. Those costs include medical treatment which is not covered by insurance, medical equipment, home modifications, and holistic therapies.
