  • The Need

    Tessa Marie Partisano

    On March 13, 2023, Tessa Marie was diagnosed with FOXG1 syndrome. FOXG1 syndrome is a rare neurological genetic disorder that greatly impacts brain development and typically causes epilepsy and physical and cognitive disabilities.  Most children with FOXG1 syndrome cannot walk or talk or take care of their basic needs.  Currently, there is no cure for FOXG1 but scientists and researchers are making great progress toward a cure including gene therapy, ASO therapy and drug repurposing.     Sean McCarthy

    Native of Dublin, Ohio, Sean is a 28-year-old graphic designer with a focus in athletic and corporate branding. After graduating from Ohio University in 2010 Sean moved to Cincinnati and designed many of the signs seen around the city. He recently relocated back to Cincinnati after an 18-month stint in advertising in Seattle. He is a lifelong fan/hostage of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Columbus Blue Jackets and jumped at the chance to immortalize the city he loves in T-shirt form and to help a great cause like 26shirts.
