  • The Need

    Lavender Burke

Lavender Burke is a 7-year-old Buffalo native who has always been a bright, vivacious little girl. She loves riding her bike, playing outside, going to school, and making art. Lavender is incredibly creative and a talented young artist. She also enjoys building impressive creations in Minecraft and spending time with her daddy, BB Pappy Stan, and Pop Pop.

Her life changed forever on July 8, 2026. Lavender and her grandmother were involved in a horrific high-speed motor vehicle accident when another car, racing and passing other vehicles, T-boned them. The crash left Lavender’s grandmother with life-threatening internal injuries and fractures in her neck.

Lavender suffered even more devastating injuries. She sustained a broken neck, a severe traumatic brain injury, a brain stem injury, a fractured pelvis, and several other serious injuries.

She was airlifted to Hershey Medical Center and admitted to the Pediatric ICU. Lavender underwent surgery to repair her broken neck, but her brain injuries were extremely severe, and she remained in a coma for several weeks.

Her prognosis remains uncertain, and her time in the hospital has been filled with many ups and downs.

Because of the extent of her injuries, Lavender now requires 24/7 care. On December 3, 2026, she was transferred to a long-term care facility, where she remains today as she continues her recovery journey.

Throughout it all, her father, James, has remained by her side to care for her. He left his full-time job so he could be with Lavender as much as possible during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised through sales of this design will help support Lavender. Please consider a purchase or a donation to her online fundraiser.
