    Katie Loewen

Katie Loewen is a local artist, small business owner, and beloved member of Buffalo’s circus community. She co-owns K & M Home Repairs with her partner Mal, bringing creativity and care to homes across Western New York. For the past decade, Katie has been a dedicated circus arts teacher, performer, and student, known for her creativity, strength, and fierce loyalty.

She shared a deep friendship with Ashli Harter (Gilmour), rekindled through their love of circus. Together, they performed and taught as fabric instructors at The Bird’s Nest, creating a welcoming space where students felt supported and encouraged. For four years, they taught side by side each Thursday and helped lead showcases and grow their community.

Following a tragic accident that left Katie seriously injured and took Ashli’s life, the Buffalo circus community continues to support Katie while honoring Ashli’s memory. Funds raised through sales of this design will help support Katie with her recovery. Please consider a purchase or a donation to Katie's online fundraiser.
