The Need
Melissa McLaughlin is a single mother of 4 children. She is embarking on a journey towards health and wellness while bravely fighting breast cancer that was discovered during her annual mammogram. Soon after the discovery, Melissa had to have a double mastectomy; the surgery revealed cancer in several lymph nodes.
It has been an unexpected whirlwind of events impacting the whole family. Melissa had to be out of work for an extended period and has exhausted her vacation and personal time. She is starting radiation treatments and sometime in the future will be having reconstruction surgery.
Funds raised through this campaign will help ease some of the financial burden for Melissa and her family so she can focus on her health.
