  • The Need

    Shaylee Klaes

Shaylee received a diagnosis of osteosarcoma, a form of cancer that starts in the bones and has also spread to her lungs. While this unexpected news has turned her and her family's world upside-down, they are now poised to face this challenging journey with courage and resilience, navigating a path of intensive treatment, chemotherapy, and ongoing medical care.

Shaylee, the youngest of the Klaes family, is a vibrant young girl who loves cheerleading, Taylor Swift, and her golden doodle, Auggie. She is a beacon of happiness, energy, and positivity, and has been admirably strong during this tumultuous time. Shaylee’s bravery is matched only by the love and support of her incredible family.

Shaylee has demonstrated remarkable toughness by undergoing a 9 hour surgery that replaced most of her right femur, knee, and part of her tibia. She also had to have a second surgery weeks later on her other knee. Following seven weeks of being bound to a wheelchair and crutches, she took her first steps towards rebuilding her future with her new bionic leg.

Thanks to fundraisers like this, Shaylee's family can breathe a little easier, knowing they'll have the support they need to focus on her recovery. With one parent always by her side, Shaylee will receive the care and encouragement she deserves, and her family will be empowered to stay on top of their bills and build a brighter future.

Please consider a purchase, or donation to Shaylee's online fundraiser.
