    Stephinie Stachura

In April of 2022 Stephinie was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer. That May she had her first surgery to remove the tumor in her colon. That June she began treatment at Roswell for the whole summer. Everything was looking good until her follow-up in January where they found it had metastasized to her liver. February 2023, she began treatment again and transferred her care to MSK in NYC. In April she underwent surgery to install a special pump that goes directly into her liver. After that she resumed chemo treatment in NYC, every other week she was driving back and forth.

In September of 2023 she underwent surgery again to remove all tumors from her liver. Again, she thought it was finally gone, only to discover after scans in December, that her tumors were back. Not only that, but it had metastasized to her lungs. Since then, she has continued to be on chemo treatments every 2 weeks. Doctors now feel she will have to continue to be on chemo for the rest of her life.

She and her husband have 5 children at home. Over the past 2½ years it has been a continuous struggle and financial strain taking care of their family while continuing treatment. Funds raised through this campaign will help support her family during this time.

    Chiavetta’s Catering

Chiavetta's has been a BBQ staple in Western New York since we fired up the pit in 1954. For nearly seven decades, we've had the pleasure of serving mouthwatering BBQ to our community. Our story is one of tradition, and our hearts are deeply committed to Buffalo, the city we call home.

From our beginnings, we've grown to serve the community through parking lot pop-up chicken BBQ's, takeout, catering, and fundraising. Our core values of commitment, community, and tradition are not just words to us; they're the very essence of who we are. We're not just a BBQ destination; we're a part of the community's fabric, bringing people together through a shared food experience.
