Natalie was a healthy eleven year old child that loved to play softball, hang out with friends, and create artwork up until 5 months ago. She went in for her yearly physical, urinalysis and blood work in August 2022. They came back abnormal and she had to see a kidney specialist.

Natalie had a kidney biopsy on 9/6/2022 and was diagnosed on 9/26/2022 with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) a rare kidney disease. Her kidney function was at 70%. This disease roughly affects 2 kids out of a million each year. The disease causes the kidneys to scar and shut down. As of 1/4/2023 she now only has 17% kidney function and will need to go on dialysis soon, then have a kidney transplant. She will be doing dialysis every night for 8-10 hours until she finds a kidney match.

There is no known cause or cure of FSGS as of yet. Natalie has a long road ahead of her that will take a toll on her mentally and physically. Money raised in this campaign will go directly towards health care costs.
