    The Need

Kristin Goetz is battling an incurable disease called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), most people know it as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.” She was diagnosed on September 12, 2019 at the age of 37 years old. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, gradually leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and ultimately, a shortened life expectancy. The average lifespan of an ALS patient is 2 to 5 years from diagnosis.

Despite the challenges she faces daily, Kristin remains an inspiration to all who know her, displaying strength, resilience, and an unwavering spirit.
Kristin, who after four years continues to fight and battle this debilitating disease is experiencing financial hardships associated with the effects of ALS. Those costs include medical treatment which is not covered by insurance, medical equipment, home modifications, and holistic therapies.

Money raised through this campaign will help Kristin with disease related expenses and would make you a part of her journey in battling this deadly disease.
