51-year-old Shaun Sterner is facing a grim diagnosis of inoperable stage 4 prostate cancer. This diagnosis is directly related to a genetic defect called Lynch Syndrome which leaves him susceptible to a variety of cancers. After various treatments including immunotherapy, radiation, chemotherapy and hormone shots, his cancer has spread, and his prognosis is poor. Fiercely loyal to Buffalo, Shaun loves cheering on his home team and bowling in his free time. He also greatly enjoys watching movies with his wife, Michelle, and daughter Caitlyn. Funds raised will go directly to medical costs associated with fighting cancer. Unfortunately, Shaun has only been able to work about 8 months out of the last 3 years due to extreme pain and fatigue associated with treatment. Shaun would like to say thank you from the bottom of his heart to everyone. He notes that the love, support and prayers he has received have been amazing. He is dedicated to improving and pushing forward. He fully plans on being the miracle that we read about from time to time.
