    The Need

    In August 2023, Jackie was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer at the age of 41. Jackie was living in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she was an avid CrossFitter and always represented the Buffalo Bills loud and proud! Upon diagnosis, she immediately moved home to Buffalo to seek treatment at Roswell Park alongside the support of her family and friends. 

    Jackie has since undergone 8 rounds of chemo, and is determined to keep a strong mind and body through each stage of this battle. She is grateful for the many blessings on this journey, and inspired by cancer thrivers everywhere. Jackie was in the best shape of her life at the time of diagnosis, with no family history and minimal GI symptoms for only 2 months prior. She wants people to know that colorectal cancer under 50 is on the rise, however, it’s highly preventable with screening and has a 90% survival rate if detected early.  

    Jackie has a long road of treatments and unknowns ahead. Funds from this campaign will ensure she keeps getting the best care possible, so she can focus on beating colorectal cancer and raising awareness to help others.
