    The Need

On the morning of May 24th, 17-year-old Aurora Barton had an asthma attack that resulted in her going into respiratory failure and being flown from UPMC Chautauqua to Buffalo Oishei Children’s Hospital. Aurora was in a chemically induced coma and put on ECMO, a lung and heart support machine to try to allow her body to heal. She was on life support for 12 days and in the coma for 14. She has since been diagnosed with Life-Threatening Asthma. She is seen weekly by a team of doctors in Buffalo to keep a close eye on her, and do everything they can to prevent another life-threatening attack. Funds raised will go directly towards her medical costs, which are often not covered by insurance. Please consider a shirt purchase or donation to her online fundraiser.
