The Need
On April 11th 2021, Fiona was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She immediately began inpatient chemotherapy treatment at Oishei Children's Hospital, then continued with outpatient treatment at Roswell Park. Fiona has weekly chemotherapy treatments in addition to oral chemo treatments that she receives at home. These medicines cause her weakness and pain which makes it hard for her to walk and play like any other 8 year old kid. Despite this devastating diagnosis, Fiona stays positive and continues to fight this horrible cancer. Having a child with cancer is one of the biggest challenges we have ever faced as parents. The continual burden of weekly appointments and lost wages is taking a financial toll on our family. Money raised from this campaign will be used to offset travel expenses and unexpected costs that arise from raising a child with cancer.
