In January of 2022, Sweet Abbie was diagnosed with stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer with no cure. Born with Down syndrome, Abbie has had her fair share of trials and tribulations in her short life, but is currently in the fight of her life. Abbie’s treatment consists of extensive chemotherapy which she is receiving here in Buffalo, and a very targeted radiation to the abdomen which will require Abbie, her mom Stacie, and her father Lou to New York City for 7-8 weeks. We are raising money to help offset the loss of income both Lou and Stacie have had as a result of Abbies treatments both locally and upcoming so that their only focus can be on what matters most; Abbie And her road to remission. It is only a small comfort, but it is something to make these unfathomable circumstances a bit more manageable.
