Marie was recently diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer that spread to her stomach, intestines and lungs. She underwent a major surgery and has been going to Rosewell for chemotherapy. Marie is a mother of 5, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She's always giving to others without asking for anything in return. She lost two family members in the last few years from Cancer. So this has been hard on the family because she's the heart and soul that keeps it together. Marie is also known for her baking. She loves to bake and give her baked goods to all. She gives to churches, family, friends, parties, benefits, etc. She enjoys this so much and the smiles are her payment. She hasn't been able to bake as chemo takes a lot out of her. Marie is very special to me and her family and friends. She's an amazing person whom I love with all my heart. Someone you think can't get sick or let anyone or thing hurt her. She's strong, funny, beautiful and up beat. If you have known someone that is going through this battle then you know insurance doesn't cover everything. This is a tough battle and Marie is staying positive.
