The Need

Reagan Cutler is a 15 year old high school freshman. Prior to July 2022, she was living a normal teenage life, being active in dance and school. She started having bad headaches in late spring which the family originally thought were migraines. As they continued to get worse with no end in sight, they went to the emergency room. The test results showed the cause of the headaches was a Pilocytic Astrocytoma (brain tumor) located near her brain stem, which was causing hydrocephalus. Reagan was admitted to the PICU and spent the first half of July there. Over the summer, Reagan has had three surgeries, chemotherapy, and in November had a craniotomy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City to remove as much of the tumor as possible, as the tumor had been deemed inoperable due to its location against her brain stem.
Unfortunately these surgeries have left Reagan with a number of problems, such as balance and coordination difficulties, tremors on her left side, double vision, speech problems, daily headaches, and more. She spent almost a month in an inpatient rehab after surgery and has been in outpatient rehab since then.
During all of this, her mom has been the main caregiver and has to take unpaid time off of work for appointments, travel for surgery and time spent in rehab, which has caused financial hardship. Any donations made through the purchase of a shirt will go to help offset medical and travel expenses.
