    The Need

Addison is a 12 year old girl from Essex, Vermont and her dad is one of the biggest Bills fans! “Addi” has been battling a novel disease that is progressive since birth and has repeatedly defied the odds. She is deaf-blind, cognitively impaired and yet she is community oriented and serves as a member of her town Fire Department. She talks about “my firefighters” every day and uses videos and photos of their time together to help her get through endless medical trips, treatments and hospitalizations.

Yet - Sweet, fierce Addi has endured so much in her 12 years of childhood, dealing with a relentless complex progressive and undiagnosed disease. Most recently, Addi was admitted to Children’s Hospital in Boston for 107 days from December to April.  Many acute, life threatening issues were addressed and she was able to come home long enough to celebrate a missed Christmas and her 12th birthday before being readmitted in May.  She is deteriorating to the cumulative burden of her disease, but she never complains - even though she can no longer move her limbs or hold her own toys.  Dad (Ian) stays with Addi while Mom (Tammy) remains home with her 2 sisters. No family should have to lose these precious moments or have to choose work over the care for their children during the final stages of disease. Any funds raised will help cover bills and to help the family provide supplies. Her family appreciates everyone's well wishes and your support which will help them focus on togetherness and making memories!

Please consider a shirt purchase or donation to Addi's online fundraiser.
