Jaxton Knobloch may not have been born in Buffalo, but definitely has Buffalo in his blood from his father who was born and raised there.
A few months ago, an early morning trip to the E.R. for stomach pain equated to 4 days at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. The result of the 4 day stay ultimately resulted in a diagnosis that Jaxton had B-Cell A.L.L. (one of a few types of leukemia), at which point he was immediately transported to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to immediately begin his treatment regime for the next 3 years.
Jaxton loves playing outside with his big construction trucks, his trains, and farm machinery and has not let up on being his normal self since his diagnosis and the numerous treatments, procedures, and in-patient hospital stays. His mom has been his go-to and rock throughout all of the challenges he has faced, and her presence has both helped ease his mind and return to his normal self so quickly after day 1 of diagnosis on August 10th.
Every Sunday since the Bills season this year, he has sung along with his father at the top of lungs "THE BILLS MAKE ME WANNA SHOUT!!! LET'S GO BUFF-A-LO!!!"
He and his parents look ahead to the day a few years from now when he is declared cancer free, while he has stayed nothing but positive through the whole process. He is truly a "Champ" and is THE captain for #TEAMJAXTON.
