Pennies for Penelope was created by two children who lost their baby sister to CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia). Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester, NY was experienced in the specialty care these infants required. They provided a private NICU room with a team approach to their family-centered care. The doctors, nurses and child-life specialists worked tirelessly with Penelope's brother and sister to help them understand Penelope's situation in a loving way. It is Pennies for Penelope's mission to raise funds for the hospital so the doctors and nurses as well as future families can also receive the highest level of care possible.
