In September 2012, Aidan Knox was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma bone cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy and radiation for over a year at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, he was declared NED (No Evidence of Disease). Now almost 3 years past treatment, Aidan is doing well and the Knoxes have returned to a normal life, for which they're thankful; however, one of the casualties of his diagnosis and treatment was their second income, his mother Jamie's photography business. The business has never recovered from the year and half hiatus it went through, and now that the family has gone from two incomes to one, it has had a slow but compounding and somewhat crippling effect. During treatment it really wasn't a concern because of the large amount of help they received, but since then living a two income life on essentially one income has slowly but surely driven up their debt and though they try to get ahead of it, it often proves difficult. Obviously, despite this the Knox family still feels beyond fortunate because the most important thing is Aidan's continued good health... Regardless, we'd like to help.
