Recently, Amanda and her husband Shawn received the news that Amanda had stage 3 rectal cancer and would immediately begin a chemotherapy regimen, which will take almost 5 months. After 3 months of chemotherapy, doctors will run some tests to see if Amanda will also have to have radiation, and possibly surgery. The treatment has been difficult on Amanda's body making it impossible for her to continue working at this time. Their children, Taylor (12 years old) and Lincoln (4 years old) have brought them so much joy during this challenging time. Shawn and Amanda's faith has been instrumental in helping them cope with this situation. The Allens are so thankful to family and friends for all of the support they have received so far!
