In the past months, Jordan has been treated for Lyme disease. It can be a controversial diagnosis with even more controversial treatments when the illness is long term. Because of this, Lyme treatment is not covered by insurance. The specialist Jordan sees is outside Albany, NY, requiring hotel stays, food costs, and transportation expenses in addition to the significant medical costs. We have also traveled to Rhode Island for specialist consultations to address the pain. Dave continues to be home with Jordan, and has been off from work for over a year and a half now.
