Janet’s cancer journey began at the age of 35 when she was diagnosed with cancerous polyps in her colon. After a full removal of the colon at 37, Janet was diagnosed again with cancer-this time it was stage 1 breast cancer. Janet battled bravely, and at age 45 was cleared! Unfortunately, the good news did not last, and Janet was diagnosed again with metastatic breast cancer only 3 months later. This was Janet’s most difficult diagnosis yet, as it was classified as stage 4 this time. Janet has been living for 5 years with this diagnosis, and continues to fight hard. She hopes for a cure, despite the fact that it remains highly unlikely, but she will not let her cancer define her!
