From Michelle Valiukenas, founder: "Created in memory of our daughter Colette who died at nine days old, The Colette Louise Tisdahl Foundation financially assists families in crisis due to pregnancy complications, premature birth/NICU stay, or loss. Families who are experiencing these unexpected crises often find themselves with tougher financial burdens, ranging from loss of income to increased transportation costs with children being moved to a farther hospital to unexpected cremation and burial costs. Our goal is to improve outcomes by relieving stress and allowing parents to be near their children as much as possible, as well as providing comfort to parents who experience a pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or infant loss. To find out more about Colette's story and our work, please visit us at www.colettelouise.com."
