    The Need

From Jason: "First let me say thanks for reading this. I am proud father of two daughters, Kennah and Loghann. My youngest, Loghann, was born with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome and a complex chromosomal rearrangement. She has been battling life threatening seizures for most of her life, which leaves her in need of 24/7 care. So my wife, Roxanne, made the commitment to homeschool our daughter while I was the breadwinner. Life has been difficult but was our normal and we got on with it. Fast forward to March of 2020. I had been feeling off for a while and started to lose sensation and motor control in my hands, which made it extremely difficult to fulfill my job as a United States Postal Worker. After several appointments with the medical staff at Strong Memorial Hospital, located in Rochester, NY, I was finally diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP). Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy is an autoimmune disease. It affects nerves in my arms and legs, making everyday tasks difficult and or impossible. I have been out of work since February 2020. My position at the USPS does not provide any benefits. This means no sick days or paid time off. Since the USPS is a federally funded job, I am unable to claim state disability or unemployment.  Unfortunately, I recently had to resign because my medical and physical condition continues to deteriorate with no signs of improvement in the near future. Without the love and dedication of my wife, who is now the primary caregiver of myself and our daughter, I don't know how I could suvive. We are a private family who truly just want a life filled with simplicity and happiness. Sadly our life circumstances have left us to seek out help from our family, friends, and community. There is more to the story, if you would like to know more I implore you to read my GoFundMe story. Thanks again for reading this far, and your help. And let me just say LET'S GO BUFFALO!"
