The Need

The Cure Tay-Sachs Foundation is dedicated to funding the on-going research needed to find treatments and a cure for Tay-Sachs Disease: a rare, inherited disorder that destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Symptoms of slowed development usually appear around six months of age. Symptoms progress until they lead to death, often around age four. There is no cure for Tay-Sachs disease, but research is ongoing. You can learn more about CTSF's efforts at their website: CureTay-Sachs.org
The Artist

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Steve is "a die-hard Cubs fan (south side Cubs fans do exist) that accepts the fact that he might never see them win a championship during his lifetime. It would be great, but let's be real." You can follow Steve on Twitter at @ChgoHoods or check him out on the web at SteveShanabruch.com and TheChicagoNeighborhoods.com.
