The Need
Stella Usiak is 15 years old and has been fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since 3/2/11. After treatment and maintenance therapies she relapsed in September 2014 and had a bone marrow transplant. Her idol is Taylor Swift and in August 2018 she was in Toronto to see her when she broke her leg due to brittle bones from cancer treatment and was hospitalized for treatment and therapy. She is scheduled to be released from Children’s hospital in Philadelphia soon where she is receiving therapy.
Stella lives with her brother Nigel and Mom, Jen and Dad, Jeff.
The Artist
Nick Chowaniec is 27 years old and a graduate of Daemen College in Amherst, NY with a BFA in Graphic Design. Nick currently works for MassMutual New York State on their marketing team as a graphic designer. Before his time there he picked up some valuable experience working with clients such as Delaware North, the NHL and Upstate Farms. He enjoys spending his free time cheering on his hometown teams and loves designing around them.
