Nate Gebbie is a five-year-old boy with a love for life. He is his dad's best shadow, his mom's best cuddler and his sister’s best friend. He is at his happiest when he is playing with cars, going to school, riding the tractor, going through the car wash and spending time with his family.

At only a few weeks old, Nate was diagnosed with Methylmalonic Acidemia, a rare metabolic disorder in which the body is unable to process certain proteins and fats properly. He has had multiple admissions to Oishei Children’s Hospital throughout his short life and recently underwent a lifesaving Liver & Kidney transplant at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. 

The family temporarily relocated to Pittsburgh in July 2021 for Nate's transplant. They returned home in October and continue to focus solely on Nate's medical care. He is G-tube dependent and requires frequent lab work, therapies & monitoring. They will continue to travel to Pittsburgh regularly for appointments.
