    The Need

At the age of 19, just after his freshman year of college at SUNY Albany, Ben was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. This is a disease that normally strikes people between the ages of 40-70, but Ben's case is very rare. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease which effects a person's muscles. Over time you begin to lose the ability to do simple daily activities. Since it's a progressive disease there comes a stage when a person becomes paralyzed. Ben, his family, and friends have not given up hope; their faith is strong. There is a new treatment that will be available in the U.S starting August 1st that Ben is eligible to recieve, but the cost for this treatment alone is over $100,000. Please consider a shirt purchase or donation to his online fundraiser.
