Kyle Lysek, devoted husband, father, and friend to all, suffers from a rare, life-threatening condition called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Despite having never smoked cigarettes, this debilitating disease causes scarring in his lungs, and prevents him from receiving enough oxygen to his bloodstream. Additionally, he was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure as a result of his lacking lung function. Luckily, Kyle received a double lung transplant, and is currently in an extensive therapy and rehabilitation program. However, these surgeries and therapies prevent him from returning to work in the near future, and his family needs help in covering his transplant expenses. Kyle is dedicated to his country, serving as a Drill Sergeant for 8 years in the Army Reserves, and a dedicated Sabres fan!
