Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation and a celebration of survivorship! Our Making Strides Buffalo event has been in our community for over 20 years and we fundraise to fund innovative research, provide free information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk and find it early when it's most treatable. Locally, we offer free wigs through our Mary's Wig Room, rides to and from treatment through our Ride to Recovery program, free lodging at our Hope Lodge, as well as helping cancer patients with appearance-related side effects through our Look Good Feel Better program. We are also proud to say that the American Cancer Society has over $4.4 million in active clinical research grants locally in Buffalo.
